The longs days of summer are dwindling down, classes will be back in session, and our schedules will be filled with PTA meetings and soccer practice. We'll be back to our daily grind before we know it!
Take some time to enjoy the world around you and spend time with your family! Here are 4 things to do before the bell rings on a new school year!
King of Pops Popsicles
King of Pops is one of the best-kept secrets of Metro Atlanta. Their popsicle carts are hard to miss at any farmers market, concert series, or festival. You can track King of Pops locations HERE. Now, we're not talkin' about plain ole fruit pops...think bigger, more outrageous, and always packed with the freshest, all natural ingredients. Think Coconut Lemongrass and Thai Tea! My favorite is the creamy and rich Chocolate Sea Salt. Make sure you check this off your summer to-do list before it melts away!
Atlanta Ice Cream Festival
Did you know that eating ice cream can support a good cause? Well, now it does! Like we really needed an excuse to enjoy a cool creamy treat in this Atlanta heat! Come out to the 6th Annual Atlanta Ice Cream Festival and join the 2016 Health Initiative to Fight Cancer! Here's the scoop: on July 23rd The Meadows at Piedmont Park will have all you can eat ice cream, wellness activities, and FREE wellness screenings! Hint, hint...you may just find King of Pops here! I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
What do you do when summer boredom strikes and the heat gets the best of you? Visit one of Atlanta's many splash pads, of course! Splash pads can vary greatly from a water fountain and kiddie pool to a grand water park! There are tons of splash pads throughout Metro Atlanta. Find the top 16 HERE! Don't forget the sunscreen!
There is no better way to spend a summer evening than watching America's favorite pastime! A Braves Baseball game is a must for the summer of 2016 because it is the last year that The Bravos will play at the beautiful Turner Field! Family and group tickets are available! Take me out to the ballgame!
