The home at 5407 Beaver Lake Drive rests in a quiet and pretty neighborhood in Powder Springs. Newly repainted rooms on the main level, as well as fully deep-cleaned carpets give this home a spruced up and new feel!

We wondered what it is like to live in such a wonderful home. Who better to tell us than the sellers; here is what they had to say:

YARD:

The large back yard, with a wooded back lot, provides privacy and plenty of space for kids to play. The naturally wooded area provides you with lots of fireflies in the evenings and bunnies during the day. You will have a busy bird feeder and may even catch the occasional frog or skink sunning itself on the back porch. We love watching the bunnies play and we have even seen a couple deer in the neighborhood.

EXTERIOR:

On the exterior of the home we have added new lighting fixtures. We love the stacked stone entryway, and the double front doors on the home!

FIRST FLOOR:

The first floor features marble surrounding the fire place in the family room, built-in shelving in the front sitting room to create a library, hardwood flooring in the foyer, as well as a new chandelier. In addition, there is laminate wood flooring in the kitchen, and the kitchen has a large pantry and plenty of cabinets for storage space. The kitchen just received a new coat of paint, and the living room received one as well. Our dining room easily sits 8 people, and it has upgraded shadowboxing that gives the room a classic and formal feel. The half bath on the main level was upgraded with a tiled floor. I also love how much sunlight the downstairs level gets throughout the entire day!

SECOND FLOOR:

The second level of the home has all four of the bedrooms, and every single one of them has a trey ceiling and an upgraded ceiling fan. Two of the secondary bedrooms feature oversided closets. The master bedroom is spacious and features a trey ceiling as well. The attached master bath has a garden tub, a separate shower, and a walk-in closet. The upstairs guest bathroom was recently painted and it has a large shelved-closet. There is a linen closet in the hallway that is great for storage, and we also have the laundry room upstairs, which is extremely convenient! The room at the end of the hallway is a bedroom, but we currently use it as a bonus room/office area.

THE SUBDIVISION:

We have a swim and tennis community with an HOA. Our home rests on a quiet street, and there are always kids playing outside and riding bikes.

THE AREA:

This is a great area to live! We are close to Hiram, downtown Powder Springs, Douglasville, West Cobb and the Marietta Square. We are also not far from Vinings area and Kennesaw. We are near to Arbor Place Mall, Silver Comet Trail, Sweetwater State Park, and Six Flags, as well as Taylor Farm Park, Powder Springs Park, and the West Cobb Aquatic Center. We like to go bowling at one of the several family fun centers in the area and Ice skating at the Ice Forum in Kennesaw. We often play tennis in the neighborhood. The local libraries in the area are excellent, and we really enjoy visiting those.

Some shopping locations close to us include Kroger, Publix, Super Target, and Aldi. In terms of restaurants, we love to go to Hiram for Hibachi at Hai Hai Japanese Steakhouse or to Douglasville for pizza at Fabiano’s. You can also go to the famous New Orleans restaurant in Douglasville, called Gumbeaux’s, but be prepared for a wait! There are also several nearby movie theaters, including Regal and NCG. It’s easy to get on I-20 and have a short commune into downtown Atlanta.

For families with medical needs, we are located very close to Wellstar Hospital and several medical offices that can serve your needs.

SCHOOLS:
We are part of Cobb County Schools, and are in the district for Powder Spring Elementary School, Cooper Middle School, and McEachern High School. McEachern High School was a 2013 Advanced Placement Honor School and they also won the 2014 State Champions in Women's Basketball.
