This split-level style and updated home in Dallas features new exterior paint, an irrigation system, a full guest suite on the lower level and hardwood floors on the main. We wondered what it is like to live in such a wonderful home! Here is what our sellers have to say:
We have sprinklers in our yard and a nature fence that is made of cryptomeria trees. They provided us with needed privacy around our home and we love how they make the yard look like its own little oasis in the neighborhood. We also have gardening beds in the back yard for all of your gardening needs!
The exterior of the home was very recently painted, and the doors and shutters got a new coat of paint as well! We also have flowers in the front yard that add to the exterior appeal of the home.
We have low-flow toilets installed in the house, which helps a lot with water usage and control.
The main/upper floor has a beautiful and large vaulted ceiling that gives an airiness to the living space. It also allows plenty of natural light into that part of the home and we love how open it makes the living area feel. Interior upgrades include bamboo flooring throughout the main living space and tile flooring in the bathrooms.
The master bedroom can easily fit a sitting area depending on the size of the bed and furniture that you have in the room; we currently have one in ours and we love relaxing and reading there.
The basement has its own complete guest suite that makes it very easy for family and friends to stay over and feel like they have privacy in the house! All parts of the basement are above-ground and get plenty of natural light and it’s fun to nature watch from the front room in the basement area.
Even though our home is not located in the metropolis, it is still close enough to express-ways to get to Atlanta in less than 40 minutes. We love the farmers’ markets that happen in the area (May through October) and there are great parks and restaurants close by that can be reached in 10 minutes or less!
While we have lived here, we've enjoyed going bowling, going to the movies, walking and biking on the Silver Comet Trail (the subdivision has a private entrance to the Trail), and geocaching in the area. There is a waterfall less than 10 -15 minutes from the house, which is a great place to visit on a hot summer day!
